The screen fabric decides how your projector actually looks in the room. QMJM manufactures nine surfaces – from reference 4K white through acoustically transparent weaves to ambient light rejecting ALR and UST PET crystal. UHD Flexible White

Structure: Soft PVC + imaging coating

A special PVC composite with an advanced imaging coating that diffuses incident light in every direction, widening the viewing angle and keeping colour natural and delicate. Overall image performance is around 33% better than standard WF1 white fabric.

UHD Flexible Grey

Structure: Soft PVC + light grey coating

The light grey surface coating improves black reproduction by roughly 20% over standard grey fabric. Blacks are deeper and contrast is noticeably higher, which suits ordinary living rooms where the surrounding walls cannot be treated with dark absorbing surfaces.

Fine textured lines on the imaging surface diffuse light evenly for a wide viewing angle, while a high-definition, high-contrast coating is tuned specifically for 4K material. This is the reference-grade white fabric for enthusiasts and professional calibration.

UHD Glass Fibre Matte White

Structure: PVC + glass fibre weave + coating

A glass-fibre woven base cloth coated with a projection-grade PVC layer. The rigid weave stays dead flat with no waves, and the fabric is damp-proof, mildew-proof, flame retardant and non-yellowing – the workhorse surface for motorised and manual screens.

UHD Woven Acoustically Transparent

Structure: Precision woven visualisation PVC

Precision fibre weaving eliminates the moiré patterning normally associated with transparent sound screens, while keeping excellent colour reproduction. Sound attenuation stays flat to about 1 kHz and rolls off gently at higher frequencies (-4 dB @ 4 kHz, -10 dB @ 10 kHz).

UHD Perforated Acoustically Transparent

Structure: Soft PVC, 0.4 mm micro-perforation

Micro pinholes of 0.4 mm at a 5.77% perforation rate scatter across the whole surface and are invisible from normal seating distance. Audio attenuation stays under 1.0 dB at 1 kHz and under 6.0 dB at 12.5 kHz, so the front stage can sit directly behind the screen.

UHD UST ALR PET Crystal

Structure: PET crystal, optical sawtooth structure

A black-grating ultra-short-throw ambient light rejecting surface. The optical sawtooth structure blocks up to 93% of ambient light while reflecting only the light arriving from below, so the picture keeps true colour with no hazy sheen – built for laser TVs in bright rooms.

UHD Long-Throw ALR

Structure: PVC cloth base + black crystal coating

Imported PVC base with a unique anti-light coating that absorbs stray ambient light, plus a crystal layer through the middle of the screen that lifts on-axis brightness back to a 0.8 gain. Excellent light-interference rejection for standard-throw projectors.

UHD Metallic Perforating Acoustically Transparent

A metallised, perforated surface that maintains polarisation for passive 3D while still letting sound pass through from speakers behind the screen. The preferred surface for 3D-capable venues and rental fast-fold frames.
